Description

TOTAL HARDNESS
The kit total hardness is used to perform analysis on the concentration of calcium and magnesium contained in the water. It is ideal if you need to make little analysis, but with reasonable accuracy.

Directions for use
- Rinse the measuring vessel with the water to be tested and fill up the 5 ml mark.
- Add 2 drops of indicator (bottle with blue liquid) and swirl. The water will be colored deep red, in the complete absence of hardness (limestone) the water will turn blue.
- Add titrant (bottle with trasnsparent liquid) drop by drop, mixing after each addition. Count the drops until the color changes from the red to blue.
- The number of drops obtained is the value of hardness in ° F (1 drop = 1 ° F).
