John Guest Water Intake Valve
1/4" Ø X 9/16" UNEF MALE X 9/16" UNEF FEMALE WATER INLET VALVE
UNEF Thread: Extra-fine unified thread
The PP series shut-off valves are made of polypropylene with EPDM internal seals. Polypropylene has the advantage of being more chemically resistant than acetal resin.
The valves are used for drinking water. For use with other liquids, contact the Technical Office for further information.
The valves cannot be used for compressed air systems, flammable gases, kerosene, and other heating fuels.
NB: These valves are designed to allow temporary shut-off of downstream flow. They must always be positioned fully open or fully closed. DO NOT USE these valves:
- in the partially open position to control flow
- as a terminal block for a line
- without inserting a tube (or plug) or Without screwing and sealing the threaded side
- as a faucet (open spout)
